This guy was pretty fun. On 25 man got him down to 11% on the second try, but could never quite kill him. Came back on 10 man afterwards and pawned him. I am lazy so by the time I actually post this screenshot, we had killed him a few more times. Defintely a lot of RNG, but with a good driver and a little practice he is a piece of cake

10 Man Progress
The Queen is dead!! At least on ten man. A very fun fight that we hope to get down 25 man as well fairly soon. This fight came down to the wire, actually past the wire, she enraged killed one person then she died. The next night we came in and had 6 seconds to spare before enrage with different people. That’s what we call progress and learning the fight.

Heroic Beasts of Northrend Slain
Well, finally, the 10 man version of TOC beasts have been put to rest. Moving onward to Jarraxas we whittled him down to 50% health. Grats to Jazira, Otome, Eliwar, Shymea, Gabrieal, Nelliepoo, Rudolpho, Hugeone, Dkaron and Kawaihae.

Yogg Defeated
It’s very unlikely that this could have been closer.
We started the evening barely getting into phase two, but quickly retook the progress that we had made last Thursday. Soon we were refining the actions of the melee group inside the visions of Yogg and the tentacle killing priority of the group outside the old death god.
Quickly, we were well into phase three and learning the challenges of herding all those space elephants into manageable tank groups.
Our second to last attempt had him at 21%.
Still learning the fight, our raid leader told us that if it was close he’d pull all dps from the adds over to Yogg. Most of the healers had no idea of what he was talking about, given that they were busy mending wounds, decursing, curing diseases, dispelling magics, and cleansing poisons.
All of a sudden we knew what close was as dps was told to switch targets. We hit the enrage timer and the entire raid’s health dipped below 50%. A few raiders were killed by adds, but then simultaneously 25 people’s screens erupted in a flurry of achievements. Yogg was killed by dots and our vent server carried a cacophony of nerd screams across North America.
From here we’ll take a less frantic pace in Ulduar. Learning as many of the hard mode keeper fights as we can before the next patch, and returning to Yogg’s loot table as often as time permits.
Our eyes are now fixed upon Algalon.

Done. Three of Them, and Saarth.
At last. Done.
We mostly edged closer the entire evening, at one point rushing headlong into an almost victory, but narrowly missing it. That attempt in the middle of the series left us a bit tired from the burst of adrenaline and stress.
We usually stop raiding at midnight but decided since we were so close that we’d volunteer a last try. That final attempt was clock work perfect. Saartharian’s isle sure seems empty once all three drakes go down. Grats to Rudolpho on the drake mount and to all the Steel Legion raiders for a well earned title.

Final Content Cleared, Malygos Down
After several weeks of gearing up and learning phase three, we finally, FINALLY, took Malygos down with 25 raiders. We improved throughout the evening. On the second to last attempt we had three minutes before the enrage timer for phase 3. On our last attempt we had four minutes. Our dps was very much refined.
Now its just a matter of how much time before the new content comes out. And how many drakes we can stand fighting along side of Sartharian.

Nearing the End of Raid Content
We began the new year with a few accomplishments of note. The Obsidian Sanctum has been cleared, both 10 and 25 man with one drake up. Over the next few weeks we will refine our technique to do it with two and hopefully three drakes up.
We have already taken Malygos out in the ten man instance and beating him with a full crew in the heroic version will mark the end of content in Wrath of the Lich King. We hope to chronicle this event soon.
This should have us nicely poised for whatever else is in store for us. We’ll be facing it with as much heroic Naxxramas equivalent gear as possible.

Pioneer Ten Man Ends War of Magic
Right after a ten man in guild group plowed through Naxxramas, the group was adjusted a bit and then sent to fight Malygos. We had all had been there before but now we returned with much better gear. During the first attempt we managed to get to phase three. Two attempts later we rand into the enrage timer, but our dots killed Malygos, so we won.
And…
Sokritus won the rare blue drake, which is supposedly a rare drop. We wouldn’t know, it dropped our first time. Rumor has it that an even better drake drops from the 25 man version. We’ll soon find out.

Naxxramas Cleared
A little more than 5 weeks into the expansion we’ve cleared the howling halls, Naxxramas. In terms of the fight itself there was nothing quite extraordinary that happened. All the extraordinary stuff happened on the road to get here. All of the quick leveling, commitment to excellence, gearing up in various places and learning the fights has paid off. After the holiday break when we return in full, Naxxramas will be cleared more rapidly, giving us more time to work on Malygos and get geared up for the next batch of raid content in the story line.
