Raid Style

Casual or Hardcore

People often want to know if Steel Legion is a casual or hardcore guild. For those who only play once a week and have never seen anything past PUG content, we are hardcore. For some who are impatient with things, we are casual.

The truth is, we are something more. Steel Legion is a PvE Progression Guild. We believe you can be a serious raider with a moderate amount of time each week, and be among the top 5% of guilds world-wide. We believe we can do this and still have a real life.

Steel Legion is a PvE Progression Guild.

We are tolerant. If you have something going on in your life that’s going to eat up a few weeks, that’s ok. Real life happens and some of our best players have needed to take time off here and there. All of our top raiders make it to 2:3 raids per week though, on average.

We don’t yell at people in raids. If you make a mistake, you’ll be corrected, but its not the end of the world. We don’t care about mistakes, we care about people not wasting our time. If it becomes known that you are not trying, or are incapable of performing in advanced fights, you’ll be rotated out. You have a chance to get more gear, read a strat, maybe go through your talent build with a guild officer. We want you to improve and be happy with the game.

Some players are habitually non-performers though. We have some people like this in our guild. They hold non-raiding ranks, and have a lower gear and loot priority. These players are only included on raids when the content is on farm.

We have been known to do a fight over and OVER and over again. A recent series of tries against dungeon content had us making 30 attempts. Through that series of tries we rotated different people in and out, applied different strategies and saw remarkable improvement over the course of hours.

Sometimes things don’t work that way. Sometimes we’ll just get up and try out another dungeon or call it early. Most of the time, though, we keep trying, and progressing through content.

Our raids maintain a good balance between seriousness and fun atmosphere. (Most of us consider the serious raid environment fun).

The goal of Steel Legion is to see all content in the game and do the optional “hard modes”. We love getting titles, achievements and fast riding mounts.

Right now our recruitment is wide open and we are limited to doing 10 man content. But we will not stop recruiting until we are slamming down 25 man hard mode content again, with a crew of 25+ strong raiders that are serious about raiding and basically aren’t asshats.
