This does make old raid content fresh. The only fights that were of real interest were Thaddius, the Four Horseman, and Kel’Thuzad. On Thaddius we had someone miss the jump. On the four horsemen, it is just a bit of a nerve racking fight with 10 people and being one lag spike and one void zone away from ruin.
The rest was mostly good. We had talked before hand about the possibility of the KZ add tank getting frost blasted and then eaten, basically an unfair slam. Its a good thing we talked about it because in the last 5% of the Kel’Thuzad fight, that’s what happened. But we were prepared. As revealed by the combat log our off tank immediately started getting heals, and a guardian spirit landed on his shoulders just 0.2 secs before he received the would-be killing blow.
Kel’Thuzad’s tricks would not pay off. We won mere seconds after.
While a nice achievement for ten people this is not what we are about. Our progress is measured in what we can do as a twenty five man squad. We were close in getting three drakes down last Thursday but had to stop because of a buggy vent server. This Monday we’ll have a good shot at that title and mark of guild excellence.
As the testing for Ulduar continues we’re still trying to better ourselves. Recent improvements and performance reviews are sure to make us stronger for the Iron council and beyond. Perhaps we might even stride into the Titan’s prison with Immortal titles.
