Sorry for the interruption of news from Steel Legion. The city that our server resides in had a power outage. Seems like a raven flew into a transformer. I think the bird got one shotted an so did some switch at the machine room when power came back up.
News will be posted shortly from our repeat of the Prince kill last week and our start for this week.
So back to Karazhan. On Thursday we cleared up to Opera getting the Romeo and Juliet play. Will we ever see little Red Riding Hood again? On Saturday Night we did Curator and Aran and had fun on Chess, a rather laid back night. We’re set to redeem our title against the Prince on Monday.
The other big news is that we have really started getting some quality players via the recruit system. Vemones’ film, positive attitude in the guild and a certain Mr. Bugenhagen heading up the department of “Encouragement” have all been contributing factors. We are approaching full on about half our classes. We’ll be getting to 25 man status here quickly. But we have quite a bit more to go as far as getting geared up. Having two simultaneous runs in Kara per week will speed things up greatly, or about double as they say.

On our second set of attempts, ten Legionnaires climbed to the roof once more. We were entirely sick of this fight, sick of the bad infernal spawns, and sick of the Prince and his stupid tricks. About one month of doing this had our spirits in the gutter. But we knew that the waves of misfortune cannot break the indomitable will of the Steel Legion. They crash upon our resolute ranks and dissipate, and we rise up, stronger. Although we were frustrated, we were not frustrated with each other, not at all. We channeled that energy into a pure beam of focused stubbornness. Our victory over Malchezaar was not pretty, not timely, and not necessarily something to brag about. But it is ours. We did it and we’ll do it again.
One of our members commented that this felt like killing Ragnaros for the first time about a year ago. It was indeed a great night.

This was also the first night that we used our new DKP system. Woots to that. Malatov won his T4 hat, Trichiasis received the healing cloak, and Adrexius now wields a new axe.
More attempts were made on the Prince Saturday night. We took a retreat for the night after several. He will crack. We will not. Monday we continue.
All bosses up through Curator Down. We’re set up for Aran, Chess and back to Prince on Saturday. Go Go
Steel Legion.
On two separate waves of attempts Steel Legion battled Prince Malchezar on the roof tops of Karazhan. Sometimes closer than others, some fights more or less lucky in terms of meteor strikes. We didn’t quite get him down.
Next week we’ll be better geared up. More armor, more mana, better damage mitigation, more dodge. Pretty much we’ll take more of everything.
Thursday we begin again.
As I write this Steel Legion’s Elite G Unit faces the cheating bastard Medivh in a friendly game of Chess. Earlier we one shotted Aran. No news there. Just a steady strem of carnage left in our wake. What’s that? I just heard something. I think the Prince on the roof just wet his pants.
Dude, time to cough up the Tier 4 Hat!
Updates coming later…
The Update:
Well, its not a bad thing to be humble. Or is it?
No it is not. We did not make as much percentage wise on the Prince as we had last week. But we were there on the roof slugging it out with the hat guy. We are definitely learning the strats and picking up experience. No doubt about that. So this coming Monday we’ll be at it again. Humbler but wiser. (And no less greedy for the loot).
Steel Legion assaulted the dark towers of Karazhan again this week. Tonight we skipped Maiden, but cleared through Curator. Our continuing goal is to get faster and faster as we collect purples and down bosses. What the Curator thinks as his museum is really now our base camp from which we will cilmb again, rested and re-equipped.
This sets us up beautifully for either Saturday Night or Monday. We’re looking at taking the Prince down for real this time, and then trying some of the other side bosses like Illhoof and Netherspite.
It was a long night, but we made record speed and trained some fresh Legionnaires in the process. That is our way.
This is Steel Legion. We don’t make excuses, we make history. This week in Karazhan we put the Curator and the Shade of Aran on one shot status. Experience, better gear and good people by your side make all the difference.
We headed up to the roof again facing the Prince and got him to 1% (or less) on our best attempt. We are within striking distance for sure.
Steel Legion’s Minions grow stronger!
This Wednesday we start afresh, and look forward to more progress.
Stay tuned.
